Test your EV charging software without any chargers. SimItNow gives you virtual charging stations and electric cars that you control with API calls, so you can see how your back end (the CSMS, also called CPMS) behaves before real hardware arrives.
The free plan needs no credit card. Works with OCPP 1.6, 2.0.1 and 2.1. OCPI is coming soon.
Sign up with your email, confirm it, then generate your API key on the dashboard. You do not need a credit card.
One API call creates a station that connects to your staging or production CSMS over OCPP, the protocol chargers use to talk to their back end.
Create an electric vehicle, plug it into the station and start a session. Your CSMS sees the car plug in, a transaction start and meter readings.
Steps 2 and 3 as API calls. Use an ID tag your CSMS accepts in the last call; if it rejects the tag, the response is "result": "False" and no session starts. The API docs cover the full session lifecycle.
Six things people use SimItNow for. The features page has the full list.
Virtual stations come with realistic electric cars. The battery level rises while a car charges, and energy readings reach your CSMS on schedule, for AC up to 11 kW and DC fast charging up to 90 kW.
Create, start, stop and delete stations over a REST API. You can run hundreds at once and add OCPP conformance testing and regression runs to your CI pipeline or a staging environment, with no charge point emulator to rack or maintain.
Drop the connection or set an error state, then watch stations reconnect on their own. That shows whether your CSMS recovers.
Run OCPP 1.6, 2.0.1 and 2.1 stations side by side under one API key.
If you build chargepoints instead, every account has its own hosted CSMS address. Point your charger at it and see how a real Central System answers.
Before it creates a station, SimItNow tries a real handshake with your CSMS. If something is wrong, such as refused credentials or a wrong path, it tells you in plain words. Basic Auth and TLS (wss://) are supported.
Plans differ in how many chargepoints you can create and how many OCPP messages they can send each day. There are no setup fees and no long-term contract.

Yes. The free plan covers 1 chargepoint and 500 OCPP messages a day. Paid plans add more chargepoints and messages.
Not for the free plan. Signing up takes only an email address and a password. To pay for Solo or Pro online, monthly or yearly, create a free account first. If you are in Turkey, email us and we will arrange a bank-transfer plan.
You need no hardware and nothing to install. SimItNow runs in the cloud, and you control it with HTTP calls from curl, a script or your CI pipeline.
OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 are fully supported. OCPP 2.1 works too: a 2.1 station behaves like a 2.0.1 station and answers every 2.1 request your CSMS can send, but V2X, DER control, tariffs and battery swap are not simulated. You can run all three versions side by side.
Creating an account, confirming your email and generating a key takes a few minutes. After that, two API calls (create a station, plug in a car) start a session on your CSMS.
SimItNow connects out to your CSMS over the internet, so its address must be public. For a CSMS on your own machine, use a tunnel such as ngrok or Cloudflare Tunnel and give SimItNow the wss:// URL. If you have no CSMS yet, every account has a hosted one you can use as the target.
Every OCPP message between your stations and a CSMS counts, in both directions, Heartbeats included. The allowance is 500 messages per chargepoint per day and resets at 00:00 UTC.
Create a free account, generate an API key and connect a virtual station to your CSMS. You do not need a credit card or any installation.
