Privacy Policy
SimItNow is an OCPP simulator. This page lists what personal data it stores, what for, and for how long.
What we store
- Account: your email address and a salted hash of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
- API key: the key generated for your account and the limits set on it.
- Simulator data: the charge point and EV simulators you configure, including the CSMS URLs and credentials you enter, and usage counters for your quota.
- CSMS chargepoints: for each chargepoint you register, its chargepoint ID, display name, a salted hash of the chargepoint's password, its connection status and last-seen time, the transaction number of a charging session in progress, and the vendor and model it reported when it last booted.
- Activity log: a log of what your simulators do, shown on your dashboard. It is kept for one week and then deleted.
- Server logs: our web server and the application record technical request logs for operation and security: the page requested and the time, your IP address at the web server and, when you sign up, your email address. These logs are kept for a limited time.
- Support tickets: the messages you and we exchange in a ticket, stored with your API key.
- Sessions: a session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days.
- Acceptance record: the version of this policy you accepted at signup and when.
Email we send
We send a verification link when you sign up or ask for a new one. We may also email you replies to your support tickets and service announcements sent to all users.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner. If you decline, it is not loaded. Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them.
Who can see your data
We do not sell your data. It is processed by DDOSoft to run the service, and by the email delivery service we use to send the messages above.
How long we keep it
- Accounts whose email is still unverified after 30 days are deleted automatically, with their API key and simulators.
- Other account data stays until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete your data, email info@simitnow.com from the address on your account. Deleting an account removes its API key, simulators, stored configuration and support tickets.
Changes
When this text changes, the version above changes. New accounts accept the version current at signup.
